George Bernard Shaw was enchanted by this beautiful city, about which he said, “those who seek paradise on Earth should come to Dubrovnik”, as well as, famously, describing it as “the pearl of the Adriatic”. It really is a stunning city with an amazing old town, sublime location, overlooking the calm blue waters of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most magnificent walled cities which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.

The main draw is the charming pedestrian-only old town, packed with aristocratic palazzi and elegant Baroque churches, contained within sturdy medieval fortifications. Add to this the beaches, pristine sea, informal eateries serving top-notch seafood, chic five-star hotels and adventure sports facilities, and your holiday is made. What’s more, Dubrovnik’s Old Town has been a popular filming location in recent years. The Game of Thrones television series and the Star Wars: Episode VIII film were both shot here, while the Robin Hood: Origins film has also been in the making here this year.

Event Bookers thinks Dubrovnik is a fantastic weekend destination for groups and logistically works well for larger groups due to most attractions and venues being within walking distance and therefore reducing on ground transportation costs. It is also easily accessible from the UK and globally, but book early as flights get booked months in advance!

Day 1

On day one we will fly you from your chosen departure point to Dubrovnik airport, where you will be met by our staff and transferred to your chosen hotel by luxury coach. There are many beautiful hotels to choose from and depending on the size of your group and your requirements will determine where you stay. Event Bookers favourite hotel in Dubrovnik is Villa Dubrovnik.

Villa Dubrovnik is only a 15-minute walk to the beautiful old town. This hotel is boutique in style and luxurious and has 56 bedrooms. Villa Dubrovnik has a private beach, 2 restaurants and a bar. There are lots of lovely terraces where private cocktails can be held. Rooms at Villa Dubrovnik are spacious and have a private balcony and a terrace. Most enjoy beautiful views of Lokrum Island and the sea.

Upon arrival in the hotel you will have a private check in reception and welcome drinks on the terrace. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore. In the evening you will walk into the old town for cocktails and dinner in the old town set upon a rooftop. Free time after dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2

On day two, you will have breakfast at leisure and then we will walk into the old town with our tour guide. The group will split into manageable sizes and we will take a walking tour of Dubrovnik that will last approximately one hour. This can be tailored to your requirements incorporating a Game of Thrones tour, or the City walls. During the tour you will stop for refreshments. After the tour you will walk to the port. From here you will take speedboats over to the Island of Lopud. Upon arrival in Lopud you will have a semi-private area reserved for you on the beach complete with sunbeds and towels. You will enjoy a beach BBQ and you will have an array of water sports to enjoy.

 

Late afternoon we will take speedboats back to the port and you will make your way back to Villa Dubrovnik or enjoy shopping in the old town.  Dinner this evening will be at a beautiful fish restaurant just outside the city walls.  Free time after dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3

On day three we will leave the hotel early and take the 4-minute cable car ride to the top of Mt Srd.  From the top you have breath-taking views of the Old Town and Elaphiti Islands. The best views of Dubrovnik!

At the top we will meet our guides and you will take part in a buggy safari.  Driving through the hills and fields you will get in touch with nature and clean up your mind. It is really up to you how far you will go & for some, only the sky is the limit!  Dubrovnik Buggy Safari is the ultimate fun activity for people of all ages. The program lasts for about one hour and you get to drive the road, see ex mine fields and sights from the recent war, fortresses, animals, woods, dramatic sights and amazing 360°view of the whole Dubrovnik area, islands and mountains behind the hill.

Once the buggy safari is complete, we will make our way back down to the old town where we will have lunch.  The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. 

In the evening, we will organise a farewell dinner at a Beach Club located on Banje Beach.  This is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.  Weather permitting, we will sit outside and enjoy the views over to the old town.   Later at night this restaurant turns into a nightclub so be prepared to dance the night away or enjoy the bars in the old town which are within 5-minutes walking distance.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Check out of the hotel and take a luxury private transfer back to Dubrovnik airport for your flight home.
